According to the results of 2019, the Aurum Group holding was recognized by the Federation of Employers of Ukraine with an award “Despite the Crisis” for systematic investments in the development and modernization of the industrial capacities of the group’s enterprises despite the cyclical nature of the crisis events in the industrial sector of Ukraine.
Aurum Group is developing enterprises in various sectors of the economy, including industrial enterprises, which are struggling because of the poorly performing economy. Thus, Aurum Group resumed operation of the “Diesel plant” in Kryvyi Rih, one of five private railcar-manufacturing plants, which is now manufacturing freight main gondola cars and grain carriers. This enabled the group over the past two years to invest about UAH 200 million in the construction of new cars, and thus contribute to reducing the shortage of cars on the country’s railways. In addition, given that the plant is located in Kryvyi Rih, the most powerful region of Ukraine in terms of rail traffic, we have recently completed a project on the opening of a car repair depot,” Alona Lebedieva, the founder of Aurum Group, said.
According to Andrii Zharii, the CEO of Aurum Group, in 2019 the group completed the next stage of the process of modernizing the production of the “Sveskyi Pumping Plant” in the region of Sumy, where Aurum Group installed a new moulding line using cold-hardening mixtures produced by Omega Foundry Machinery Ltd.
“Henceforth, the plant will be able to significantly improve the accuracy of castings and improve the quality of finished products. The enterprise is mastering and launching a new range of cast parts and components for freight railroad cars. Our plans include access to the markets of the European and Asian regions,” Andrii Zharii emphasized.
Despite all the difficulties of doing business in the front-line zone of Luhansk region, Aurum Group does not stop its production processes at enterprises in the city of Rubizhne, keeping jobs and paying taxes to the local budget stably.
In general, the nominees for the Award from the Federation of Employers were the most powerful industrial enterprises of Ukraine, in particular, “Krukivsky Carriage Works”, “Bohuslavska Agricultural Machinery”, “FED”, “UKRAVIT” and others.
